Recap episode

It's 4am and I can't sleep cause I'm sick again and there's a thunderstorm going on outside my window and the last week has been a busy one. Monday and Tuesday were the last two days of school, spent screwing around doing who-knows-what like year head assembly and HM farewell. Then Ms. Johnson decided we might as well do Literally Literary on Friday so we all panicked and found a bunch of scripts and tried to rehearse in time. On Tuesday was also DI auditions which was quite fun cause it was spent doing weird stuff and talking about weird things in the library activity room/ guitar room which is/are a cool place. Made the shortlist woo. Then on Wednesday was OIP training and then we ended early so I went to rehearse some more for Lit Lit. Then on Wednesday there was supposed to be OIP training but I went to rehearse some more for Lit Lit. (See the pattern?) Then on Thursday night there was this art exhibition cum MEP concert where there was a large print of my work hehe. Then on Friday there was Literally Literary itself but before that there were many many frantic rehearsals and a HSSRP presentation at NTU which took up a large chunk of time. Moses and I cabbed to Boon Lay and met up with the others in HSSRP and then we did a presentation with half the group members missing (Francis and Aqid were in Indonesia for OIP already.) Then after that Jeson Shayne and I cabbed back to school where we had only a few hours before Lit Lit started.
Literally literary was either a success or failure, depending on how you look at it. I mean, you have to admit that attendance and publicity for this event = fail, so the audience turnout couldn't even fill half the LT. Plus there was so little time to rehearse so maybe some of the sketches could have been tighter (I'm looking at you, Fly Sketch!) But then given the amount of time I guess we really did do quite a good job and I'm happy that I managed to remember all my lines for The Intuition of a Woman because that was bloody hard. I guess there really was a very prominent undercurrent (is that an oxymoron?) of carnal thingums throughout the night but well we are catering to the audience. That takes me back to Lear Uncut hehe. Anyway yeah then supper afterwards and then I discovered that Ryan Tan Yi Jie lives pretty damn close to me. Well in all Lit Lit night was fulfilling, I guess, and most of all fun so it was effort well spent, and I guess it really did bring the various members of our Lit class closer. However I still feel bad about missing so much stuff because of rehearsal, especially OIP training. Sorry OIP Chiang Rai people!
Well yeah that's my post. Just one little aside: we really should give credit where credit is due. I'm proud of having written the bulk of the immensely popular announcement sketch, and having it referred to as "Bryan's announcement sketch" isn't very nice to hear. No sorry Braen I'm not pinpointing you either. I mean, I did come up with the concept after all, and wrote 3/4 of the announcements on the page.

don't you know who i think i am?

I have come to realize that trying to know oneself is not a casual endeavor; it is a lifetime. Meanwhile, I guess I'll just have to try my best.
The end of this hiatus comes at a convenient time, just after the end of the EOYs, so I have more time to write more crap that no one will probably read. My schedule is still surprisingly packed from various trainings and activities so I can't slack as much as I thought.
I'll be going to Chiang Rai, Thailand for the OIP this year (Yes I do sense the vague irony). Just met my fellow teammates today, and our facilitators. Also recently found out I'll be with 1I'09 as a PSL next year, under Adil. This should be fun as well, and a good experience.
Also went out with some portion of 3B'08 on Tuesday, just after my art exam. We went to LAN at Paradiz for a while, then to Sentosa. We had quite a fun time there just slacking, talking cock and playing soccer, and inexplicably met Yenter's class on the beach. Then we went to dinner at Vivo which was quite good. As usual, the outing provided many opportunities for people to say stupid things like, "Eh! I want to play with the dolphins!" and "Later the monorail go to Mars..."
Have realized that I tend to blog in fragments now. Have no idea why and will try to keep this blog alive. And yes, my title is totally a fall out boy song.
